THIS. IS. A. CALL. OUT. FOR. PEOPLE. WHO. WANT. TO. SHOW. OFF.
Come on, Vogue: a night of being seen, showing off and walking the walk on Friday 6th November 2009
The grand opening event of Wunderbar is a Vogue Ball of the highest order, specially created by Susie Green and Harriet Plewis. A Vogue Ball is a hybrid party / performance / high-low fashion show come dance off, that originated in 1980's New York.
Here are a couple of video clips that give an idea:

We are looking for people to come up with dance or strutting routines of any theme and scale, to present at the Wunderbar Vogue Ball. As long as it is fun and a bit trashy, its perfect. Each routine should be roughly 3-4 minutes long - the length of the music you choose for your routine. There will be a lit catwalk area to showcase those taking part. There may also be a wind machine. Come On, Vogue has a competitive side - expect judges scoring your routine and trophies for the top voguers. There is no cash incentive to take part, but rest assured you will be adored, revered and rewarded both by the crowd and as a Wunderbar VIP, a status afforded to very few.
We are hoping that those who take part will present themselves as a named or themed group. It can be what you really are, or what you want to be. We are dreaming of indie versus disco, cheerleaders versus metalheadz, fruit versus veg and so on.
Come On, Vogue! is being held in a secret party location which will be revealed to you once we hear from you. (But be warned the ceilings are low, so no aerial acts).
