With only a few hours until the RSC open their brilliant Newcastle season, and we launch Shakespearean Public Announcements, we still need you.
I had the pleasure of hearing the RSC's resident actor Peter Peverley as his dulcit north-east tones recorded Russell Kane's musings, Shakespeare style, on the way we go about our daily lives followed by tannoyed instructions and messages. You've never heard messages like this. I found it hard to keep schtum as the recordings were going on - and Peter showed us what it means to be a professional by not tripping over one word - try saying "Bespeak we" five times fast...
So, from tomorrow listen out for instructions and musings on popcorn, changing facilities, the coast, four lane ends, and coffee. Lots of coffee. At Northern Stage, Theatre Royal, Tyneside Cinema, on the Metro and at St James Park.
But we aren't done yet. There's still time to join in - there are a few places left for this Saturday's workshop, and the open call is still on - all budding Bards submit your entries here
