Here we are, two years on from the first Wunderbar.
Its been quite a rollercoaster couple of years, both at home and around the world. We’ve seen new technologies, new governments, new land mass, new ideas. Manmade and natural changes, some for the better, some for the worse. This year’s festival is a moment in this fast-changing world, one we hope reflects something of the time we are in.
Mostly, it’s about the energy and spirit of you, our audience and participants. We’ve built Wunderbar 2011 on the promise of your input. We offer up a week of invitations – to go back to school, to get up from behind your desk, to work together, to cycle the city, to front the band, to be a machine, to be a book. We want you to live a week Wunderbar style. Work hard, play hard. Learn new things, teach new things, sing along, listen in, make the tea, drink more tea, drink the bar dry...
Wunderbar 2011 might be only a week long, but we’ll end it with a look towards our future adventures – to what we could, should and might just be able to get away with doing next.
