
Wunderbar brings its take on performance to Northern Stage’s regular opportunity for regional artists to show work in progress and gain audience feedback. The evening will be curated by artist / curator Nicola Singh, in collaboration with the Northern Stage team.
Fragment of ?Stream? - the virtual opera_Dave Allinson and Michelle Tripp
Five performers interact with narrative, sound, projection and live second-life animation, bringing the sense of Medea into the history and future of Stream. Artists Dave Allinson and Michelle Tripp collaborate to produce mixed-media site-specific installations in real and virtual spaces.

Moving image which integrates movement, gesture and instructive body language to create film that transcend our ‘everyday’ use of language. Katy’s works uses movements based on those of professional and sometimes archaic signal givers, she plays with recognized gestures and uses them to convey her own messages.
Hardcore You Know the Score?_Toby Lloyd
A interactive performance where the audience are asked to participate in his protest against the treatment of prisoners in Guantánamo Bay. The artist will be handcuffed and locked in a small windowless room with a strobe light and sound system bombarding him with rave music for the whole duration of First in Three. The performance will be visible as a live video feed projected next to a jukebox which the audience will be able to control.

A writer is trying to finish his latest work and is constantly interrupted by the computer, incoming calls and technology from the near future. This performance explores our reliance and interdependence on technology. Can it help us to be more creative? Can we help It to be more human?
